Overview

Pete’s Bar and Grill, nestled at 604 Railroad St in Brookings, Oregon, stands out as a rare gem on the coastal dining scene. This restaurant impresses with its unique take on Thai cuisine, delivering bold flavors and generous portions that resonate with both locals and visitors craving authentic yet approachable dishes near the beach.

The menu at Pete’s Bar and Grill showcases a variety of standout offerings. The Coconut Shrimp and Gyoza come highly praised—not only for their taste but for their refined preparation. The gyoza, in particular, has earned high acclaim for its perfectly balanced filling and crisp, expertly fried exterior. For those seeking substantial, satisfying meals, the Black Pepper Chicken served with jasmine rice shines with a rich, savory sauce that invites repeat visits.

What makes Pete’s experience especially inviting is the atmosphere. The bar area encourages relaxation with attentive bartenders and a friendly staff, creating an inclusive space ideal for both casual meals and social gatherings. Despite being labeled a "Bar and Grill," some guests note the absence of a full liquor license, a minor quibble in an otherwise seamless experience.

Health-conscious diners will find thoughtful options as well, including fresh vegetable specials often paired with shrimp, which highlight the restaurant’s versatility and respect for diverse dietary preferences. Offering gluten-free accommodations further reflects Pete’s commitment to accessibility and guest satisfaction.

What a treat in Brookings! We're not exactly Thai food experts, but we eat a lot and at a variety of places. The menu here is different than any we've ever had and we enjoyed everything. The gyoza was simply the best we've had, ever. The filling was perfect and the fry on them was better than perfect. We ordered medium spice on the Thai fried rice and another beef dish. I'd say it was more like a 4/5 than a 3/5, so maybe use a number scale. It was still enjoyable, but my mouth was pretty hot by the end. Flavors were great though. 10/10 recommend. Get your full liquor license, as any respectable "Bar and grill" should have it, lol

Finally ate at Pete’s tonight for the first time. Wish I would’ve tried it sooner! Had a beer at the bar and the bartender and staff were great. I ordered the Black Pepper Chicken with a side of jasmine rice. Absolutely delicious. The sauce that comes with it is sooo good. Definitely will be back!

Stayed in Bandon, OR the previous day and it was hard to find healthy options. Came into Brookings and saw this new Thai place. Did not disappoint! Got the veggie special with shrimp. Service was so fast and I wasn’t even waiting 5 min to be served a fresh plate of warm food. It was delicious and the staff were very friendly. Couldn’t ask for a better, healthy, lunch experience! Will be back!

Cool bar and grill. Service was very friendly, the music duo made the evening relaxing, and Thai food was a surprise for a bar and grill. Lots of flavor, decent drink, and laid back vibe.

The waitress was very nice and food was excellent, medium spicy might be a little spicier for American people so watch out, other than that food was amazing and restaurant is very cozy and nice
